It is the machine that revolutionises the cutting of marble blocks, using an ultra-thin diamond wire with a diameter of 0.55 mm (up to 0.80 mm) allowing different slab thicknesses to be obtained.
Gaspari Menotti designed and manufactured the GTW-4 using the most advanced technologies.
The range of ultra-thin wire machines produced by Gaspari Menotti is enriched with the GTW-4 to offer customers a 4-column machine.
The machine adopts the same cutting technology already tested in the two-column GTW but applied on a fixed structure while the block is lifted with the same solutions used for decades on marble gang-saws.
The columns are made of steel and give the GTW-4 stability and rigidity unmatched by any other solution.
Next to the columns are the platform’s lifting screws, protected by robust bellows, which prevent them from coming into contact with water to ensure a long service life. The block holding trolley is fixed to the platform by means of a mechanical locking system that does not allow any movement of the trolley itself.
